We are beginning our TJC Survey Solution Series, which will be broken down into three (3) one and a half hour sessions. The TJC Survey Solutions Series will be offered on a variety of dates on a monthly basis until further notice. We are beginning our TJC Survey Solution Series, which will be broken down into three (3) one and a half hour sessions. The TJC Survey Solutions Series will be offered on a variety of dates on a monthly basis until further notice. The three sessions consist of:
- Session One: Leadership, HR, Information Management, Performance Improvement, Record of Care, Rights & Responsibilities
- Session Two: Infection Prevention, Medication Management, National Patient Safety Goals, Provision of Care, Waived Testing and Transplant Safety
- Session Three: Environment of Care, Emergency Management, Life Safety Codes

- Governance
- Administration
- Credentialing Requirements
- Performance Improvement
- Clinical Records and Health Information
- Staffing
What You Will Be Learning:
- We'll be discussing peer review, credentialing and other human resources requirements.
- Do you follow the approved performance improvement process? We'll give you several examples as part of your handouts as well as the forms to put it together.
- Are your medical records up to the challenge? We'll review areas of concern and provide you with a HIPAA risk assessment tool. Also, let's look at the new 2013 requirements.
- We will review the required elements of job descriptions and orientation requirements.
- How strong are your Patient Rights forms and your grievance policy? We will cover these too.
- Do you need to have a CIC on staff? We will discuss infection prevention training requirements.
- Examples of Board Minutes will show you the necessary elements, and if you follow our template, you will have a good road map to success.
- Do you have a complete set of finance policies? You will need to cover purchasing, budgeting, and asset protection in your policies.
- How do you handle employee orientation? Do you cover all key elements and get it all covered in the required timeframe and then tie everything together in an annual evaluation?
