We will discuss safe injection practices as dictated by USP 797, OSHA, APIC, and the CDC. This will include proper storage as well as disposal. You will learn the correct role of your Surgical Technologist for medication management in the OR and procedure room. Specifics for administration of IV’s, injectables, and eye drops will be outlined. Last but not least learn if you are properly handling those narcotics.
