Robin has been employed at the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Spartanburg since 2004 and held roles of Endoscopy Nurse, Endoscopy Charge Nurse and currently the Quality Assurance Process Improvement Coordinator. Robin is currently employed as the Director of Infection Prevention for Excellentia Advisory Group.

Surveyors are taking notice of employee records and giving citations for gaps. Employee health remains one of the most challenging and confusing areas to manage in an ASC. Most are familiar with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 regarding blood borne pathogens, but is there more? What do the laws require? Is it a state or federal law? Whose responsibility is it to maintain the records? What vaccines do the employees need? Why is it important to know the employee immunity status? Why is the pre-employment health history important?
